These stunning Black Copper Marans lay deep brown eggs while maintaining a calm and friendly demeanor. With their impressive productivity of 200-280 eggs per year, this breed is sure to add a touch of unique beauty to your flock. Our Marans have been hand selected over many generations to produce the dark eggs. While we cannot guarantee that your hens will lay dark brown eggs due to genetics. We only hatch from dark eggs to help keep our lines dark. My Maran roosters are some of the most friendly birds we own. Our 3 year old can walk up to them and pick them up with no issues.
Our hens lay eggs that range from a 5-9 on the color scale.
All day chicks are sold as STRAIGHT RUN we cannot guarantee you will get a hen.
Pullets are 6-8 weeks old, fully feathered and guranteed hens.
Started pullets are very limited quantities but the only way to insure you get a hen.

K&L Farms filled an order of mine for black copper Marans and Welsummer eggs. I’m beyond pleased with the deep color of the BCM eggs and speckles from the Welsummer eggs. They are in the incubator and fingers crossed they hatch well because these genetics need to be passed on. Thank you Kayla!! I’ll order again and again!

I had a half and half olive and BCM batch and the babies that hatched are so darling. I would absolutely order again! The BCM eggs were beautiful and the babies were equally as beautiful.
